LOCAL GUSTS OF S and SW WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, EASING TILL THE EVENING . SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN UP TO 5, CALMING LATER ON. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AND PARTICULARLY IN THE EXTREME SOUTH AT FIRST.

SYNOPSIS

The trough of broad and very deep low over the central and western Europe is filling up over the Adriatic, while the cold front is shifting from the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SW winds 12-24, in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still up to 28, easing gradually till the night to 5-15 knots and turning in places along the coast to E and NE winds. Sea 3-4, locally in the South Adriatic up to 5, but calming gradually to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the North Adriatic and particularly in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first.
