SYNOPSIS

The low over the Ligurian Sea is deepening and spreading a trough toward the Adriatic. A cold front is expected to shift across the Adriatic during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 16-32, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 40, strengthening all along the Adriatic to 25-50 knots. Sea 4-5, from midday 5-6, in the open toward the end of the day and during the night possibly 6-7. Visibility 10-20, in places 2-4 km due to rain. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder in places. Even more abundant precipitation is possible.

Strong and gale force, in places up to storm force SE winds, easing gradually in the second part of the night and turning to moderate to near gale force S and SW, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic.
