IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS AROUND 35 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure from the European land has weakened a little, while a shallow low still lies over the central and southern Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

E and SE winds 4-14, strengthening briefly in the open in the afternoon up to 18 knots. Along the coast in the morning calm or NE winds 4-12, only in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open, and in the Velebit Channel in the morning, 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist possibly around 5 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with a little rain in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the open sea.
