SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure from the European land is weakening over the Adriatic, while the low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 12-24, toward the open sea up to 28 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, locally 4-5, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. More abundant precipitation is possible in places.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong, in the open sea today still up to near gale force, SE winds, easing west and north of Istria to light to moderate, from the middle of the night elsewhere as well to moderate to fresh. Sea slight and moderate, today possibly up to rough, mainly toward the open, calming in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night and in a part of the Central toward morning, to smooth and slight. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. More abundant precipitation is also possible in places.
