SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the west, while a trough is slowly withdrawing from the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NE winds 6-16 knots, turning during the day to NW. Sea 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear and a little warmer, but in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Again moderate to strong NE winds. Sea slight, in the open and in the Velebit Channel increasing to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the extreme south of the Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers.
