A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC FROM MIDDAY AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT. TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45, IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT OF NE 35-60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 75 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LATE IN THE NIGHT SEA 4-5.

SYNOPSIS

The shallow low over the Ligurian Sea is deepening and it is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

At first still calm, then SE winds strengthening to 6-16, in the afternoon to 12-24, in places toward the end of the day and during the night up to 28 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing to 2-3, toward the end of the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North, in the afternoon in the Central, and toward the end of the day in the South Adriatic, gradual cloud increase, bringing rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the northern part.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, in the northern part even more abundant precipitation is possible. Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force SE, turning in the North Adriatic during the night and in a part of the Central from the middle of the night, to strong and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds . In the second part of the night, toward the open sea of the Central and of a part of the South Adriatic, SE winds easing a little and turning to fresh SW. Sea slight and moderate, in the northern part possibly up to rough late in the night.
