SYNOPSIS

The frontal system is shifting north of the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in places up to 28, in the northern part up to 32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the North Adriatic to 4-5. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in North Adriatic fine or fair.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds, easing gradually toward the morning and becoming around midday light to moderate, only in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic still up to fresh. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic at first possibly up to rough, mainly toward the open. Mostly clear.
