SYNOPSIS

The frontal system is shifting north of the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in places up to 28, in the northern part up to 32, and in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the North Adriatic up to 5. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but in places of the South and North Adriatic variably cloudy.

Strong and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds, easing gradually from the middle of the night. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the North Adriatic at first possibily up to rough. Mostly clear.
