IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE AFTERNOON LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THE CENTRAL, AND TOMORROW DURING THE FORENOON IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AS WELL, GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 85 KNOTS. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING SEA IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTHERN PART AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 5.

SYNOPSIS

The field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening briefly, while a frontal system is shifting more to the north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and NE winds 4-14, only in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Toward the end of the day and during the night in the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening again to 12-28, in places up to 34 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, only in the South Adriatic variably cloudy.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to near gale force, in places up to gale force, NE winds, spreading gradually to the Central, tomorrow morning to the South Adriatic as well. Sea increasing to slight and moderate, in the open of the northern part and in the Velebit Channel up to rough. Mostly clear, only in the South Adriatic variably cloudy.
