ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL, THEN GRADUALLY IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-65, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 85 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL INCREASING GRADUALLY UP TO 5.

SYNOPSIS

The trough with cold front will be shifting rapidly across the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds strengthening to 16-34, in places briefly up to 38, and in the Velebit Channel up to 44 knots. In the South Adriatic at first still SE and SW winds 10-20 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the open and in the Velebit Channel to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North and Central, then gradually in the South Adriatic, overcast with rain and isolated rain showers and thunder. Air temperatures will drop. Clearing is expected late in the day, firstly in the North Adriatic.
