SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure from the west has briefly intensified over the Adriatic, but it is expected to weaken and a trough with cold front is expected to approach from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and E, in places along the coast at first NE winds, 4-12, in the North Adriatic NE up to 15 knots. During the day mainly SE and SW winds 4-14 knots. Sea 1-2, locally in the North Adriatic at first up to 3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, mainly along the coast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate SE and SW winds, then in places of the North and Central Adriatic up to fresh. Sea smooth, then in the North and Central Adriatic up to slight. Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, but heavier cloud increase is expected, bringing rain, showers and thunder, mainly along the coast. Cloud increase and scattered rain expected also in a part of the Central Adriatic.
