IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS, EASING IN THE MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

The field of raised air pressure is weakening. A trough with cold front is approaching from the northwest and it is expected to shift across the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Elsewhere SE and SW winds 6-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic in the evening briefly 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist reduced to around 4 km. Fine or fair, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel at first up to fresh NE winds, easing in the morning. Toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic light SE winds. Sea smooth, in the North Adriatic slight. Variably cloudy, still with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder, mainly in the North Adriatic.
