A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE EVENING IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The field of raised air pressure is weakening. A trough with cold front is approaching from the northwest and it is expected to shift across the Adriatic further eastward toward the end of the day and during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 4-12, in the North Adriatic up to 16, where turning around midday to NE and strengthening to 14-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots, spreading also to a part of the Central Adriatic. Sea 1-2, in the northern part 2-3, in the evening briefly 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist possibly reduced to around 5 km. Fine or fair. In places cloudy with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, easing in the second part of the night and spreading to the south. Sea smooth, in the northern part slight, at first up to moderate. In places variably cloudy with a little rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.
