SYNOPSIS

The trough with cold front is slowly shifting north of the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or NW, along the coast SW winds 4-12, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 16 knots. In the North Adriatic during the night NE winds strengthening to 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Elsewhere NW, along the coast NE winds, 4-12, in places up to 16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the Velebit Channel, in the South and Central Adriatic possibly 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist, mainly during the night and in the morning. Variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, in the North Adriatic at first and all along the coast of the Adriatic later on. Clearing is expected late in the day.

Mostly clear. A risk of mist in places. Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE, in the open sea of the Central and South Adriatic mainly light NW winds. During the forenoon wind will ease a little. Sea smooth, only locally up to slight, mainly in the Velebit Channel and in the South Adriatic.
