SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure has intensified toward the Adriatic from the west, while unstable air in high levels is shifting eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW, along the coast during the night NE winds, 6-16 knots. Toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NW, and in the Velebit Channel during the night NE winds, in places up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic locally up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear and very warm. In the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Light to moderate NE and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic variably cloudy.
