ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 75 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS AROUND 35, THEN OF NE and NW WINDS 35-55 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC UP TO 5, MAINLY TOWARD THE OPEN.

SYNOPSIS

The shallow low is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is slowly intensifying from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 18-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds 10-20, in places up to 24, turning gradually to NE, in the open sea to NW winds 14-28 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the North Adriatic to 4-5, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, in places possibly even heavier.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE and NW winds. Sea slight and moderate. Mostly sunny, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
