A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY FROM MIDDAY. IN THE NORTH, AT FIRST IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC AS WELL, A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure from the northwest is extending over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in places up to 20, in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots, easing a little around midday and strengthening again late in the day. In the Central and South Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the extreme south at first still up to 20 knots, easing during the forenoon and giving way later on to NW, in places along the coast to SW, 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, only in places variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly around midday.
