SYNOPSIS

The field of a lowered air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is shifting in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and NW winds strengthening to 14-22, in places from midday up to 26, and in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NW winds strengthening to 8-18, in places up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic, and in the Velebit Channel, increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE and N, in the Velebit Channel NE winds up to near gale force. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but partial clearing is expected in the North and Central Adriatic during the night.
