The shallow trough is shifting north of the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic SE, north and west of Istria NE winds 6-16, in places up to 20 knots, dying away around midday. Elsewhere SE winds 4-12, gradually strengthening to 10-18 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain, showers and thunder. Elsewhere mostly clear, but in the Central Adriatic with a very little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

In the North Adriatic light to moderate NW, elsewhere moderate to fresh SE, turning in the Central Adriatic to NE, in the open sea to NW winds. Sea smooth or slight.
