LOCAL GUSTS OF NW WINDS AROUND 35 KNOTS EXPECTED TOWARD THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure has intensified toward the Adriatic from the west, while a shallow high level trough still lies more to the east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Along the west Istrian coast SW winds 4-10 knots and almost calm in the evening. Elsewhere NW winds 8-16, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon up to 22 knots, easing till the end of the day. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but along the coast in the afternoon passing cloud increase. Air temperatures warming up a little.

Mostly clear. Along the west Istrian coast and in places along the coast light to moderate NE, elsewhere light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to slight.
