SYNOPSIS

The trough with weakened front is slowly shifting northeast of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or NW winds 4-10, in the afternoon up to 14, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 18 knots. Sea 1-2, from midday 2-3. Visibility 10-20, but this morning still possibly less than 1 km due to fog. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder. Elsewhere mostly clear, along the coast in the afternoon with a very little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Elsewhere mostly clear. Along the coast calm or light, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate NE winds. In the open sea light to moderate, in the South and Central Adriatic up to fresh NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
