LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY ALONG THE COAST OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening. A shallow trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest and it will be shifting slowly north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the Central and South Adriatic W and NW winds 6-12 knots, dying away in the evening. In the North Adriatic SE winds 6-12 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder in the afternoon. Toward the end of the day in the North Adriatic heavier cloud increase and rain later on.

In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder. Elsewhere mostly clear. Along the west Istrian coast light to moderate NE, elsewhere light to moderate SE winds. Sea smooth or slight.
