LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and NW WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, EASING IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND GRADUALLY IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY ALONG THE COAST OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON.

The ridge of high pressure from the northwest lies over the Adriatic, while some unstable air lies in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 10-20, in the South and Central Adriatic NW up to 24, easing in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward the end o the day and gradually in the rest of the Adriatic during the night, to 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic to 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in places variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic.

Light, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate NE, and toward the open sea NW winds, easing toward midday. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear.
