SYNOPSIS

The weakened frontal system is slowly approaching the Adriatic from the north, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify afterwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 8-16, in the Velebit Channel 15-25 knots, easing during the day and strengthening again in the evening. Elsewhere variable winds 4-10, toward the end of the day and during the night NE 8-16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 2-3, in the Velebit Channel in the morning 3-4. Visibility 15-25 km. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder. Elsewhere fine or fair. A little cooler, but in the South Adriatic with no significant change in air temperatures.
