The shallow low lies over the South Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure is extending from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 10-20, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to 26, easing to 6-16, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 20 knots. Along the coast during the night NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel possibly up to 20 knots, mainly in the area of Senj. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the extreme south of the Adriatic.
