A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 50 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The low southeast of the Adriatic is slowly filling up, while a ridge of high pressure is extending from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots. In the open sea NW winds 10-20, in the open of the Central Adriatic at first up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and Central Adriatic up to 4. In the South, at first in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, variably cloudy with isolated rain showers and thunder. Elsewhere mostly clear with a very little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Elsewhere mostly clear with a very little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly around midday along the coast. Light to moderate, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to fresh NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to strong, turning around midday to light to moderate NW. In the open sea light to fresh N and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North and Central Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
