IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL, DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING IN A PART OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

The shallow trough is slowly shifting across the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifaing from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. In the South Adriatic NW and NE winds 6-16, in places of the northern part during the night NE possibly up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and Central Adriatic increasing gradually to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but gradual clearing is expected elsewhere, still with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the open.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. In the extreme south of the Adriatic still light to moderate NE and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, toward the open of the North and Central Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. In places variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
