ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The shallow trough is slowly shifting across the Adriatic eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. Elsewhere NW, in places along the coast in the morning and late in the day NE winds 6-16, and late in the day in the southern part of the Central Adriatic NE winds possibly up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, and gradual clearing elsewhere, at first still with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the open sea.
