IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COAST, MAINLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north toward the Adriatic, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and W winds 8-18, turning in the evening to NE and strengthening in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 22 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 10-20, during the night up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear and warmer. In places along the coast variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the North Adriatic.

Light to fresh NE winds, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to strong. Sea smooth. Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly toward midday.
