WARNING

IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS, EASING TILL MIDDAY. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES, REDUCING VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN 200 METERS, MAINLY IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

The weakened frontal disturbance is shifting across the inland of Croatia southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will briefly intensify from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots, dying away from midday. In the afternoon NW, along the coast SW winds, 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and Central Adriatic possibly 3-4, calming during the forenoon to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km, but in places with fog it can be reduced to less than 200 meters, mainly in the open sea. Mostly clear.

Calm or light variable winds, in the southern part at first still mainly light NW winds. Sea calm or smooth. Mostly clear. Mist in places and a risk of fog patches, mainly in the open sea.
