IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL LATER ON, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC TODAY. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

The trough with frontal disturbance has approached the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 4-10, in the North Adriatic up to 18, turning in the North Adriatic late in the day to NE and strengthening to 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic 2-3, increasing during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in the South and Central Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the open sea. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder in the extreme north.

Mostly clear. Light to moderate, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong and in the Velebit Channel up to gale force, NE winds, easing gradually and dying away. Sea smooth or slight, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
