A LITTLE RISK OF FOG PATCHES, MAINLY THIS MORNING, AND IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT. LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS EXPECTED IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT, REACHING 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

The field of raised and equalized air pressure over the Adriatic is weakening slowly, while a weakened frontal system is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or mainly SE and SW winds 4-12 knots. Sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist, or possibly even less than 1 km due to fog this morning. Clear skies at first, but cloud increase is expected late in the day, bringing possibly rain or showers along the coast of the North Adriatic in the evening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, mainly SE and SW, in the North, till the morning in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, moderate to fresh NE winds, in places of the North Adriatic up to strong and in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, then in the open of the North Adriatic up to moderate. Mist in places and a risk of fog patches in the open sea of the Central and South Adriatic. Variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers along the coast of the North Adriatic.
