IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and E WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, EASING IN THE AFTERNOON. IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5, CALMING AROUND MIDDAY. A LITTLE RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

The field of low pressure over the Central Mediterranean and the Adriatic is slowly filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the greater part of the Adriatic SE and E winds 14-26, south of Istria and in the Bay of Kvarneriæ up to 20 knots, easing around midday. Sea 3-4, in the open of the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to 5, calming from midday. West of Istria mainly NW and NE winds 4-12 knots and sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, mainly in the North Adriatic, where isolated rain showers and thunder are also possible.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, mainly E and SE, in the North, then gradually in the rest of the Adriatic, NW and NE winds. Sea further calming to smooth and slight. Mist in places, and a risk of fog here and there. Variably cloudy with a risk of rain.
