IN THE MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE FIRST PART OF THE NIGHT UP TO 40 KNOTS. A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC IN THE MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the northeast toward the Adriatic and it will weaken slowly tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-22, in places up to 26, easing gradually and turning around midday to NW and W 4-14, in the South Adriatic up to 18 knots. In the evening calm or NE winds 4-12, only in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic 3-4, calming in the afternoon, firstly in the North Adriatic, to 1-2. Visibility above 20 km, but in the extreme north of the Adriatic in the morning possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear.

Calm or light, in the Velebit Channel at first up to fresh, NE winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the South Adriatic at first still up to slight. Mostly clear. A risk of fog patches in the extreme north of the Adriatic.
