SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the southwest, while a shallow trough is shifting further northeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and W winds 8-18, in the open sea up to 24 knots. In the South Adriatic at first still SW winds 12-26 knots. Sea 3-4, in the North Adriatic 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Gradual clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon. Air temperatures a little lower.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to fresh NW and W winds, dying away in the second part of the night and turning in the North Adriatic to SE. Sea smooth or slight. Gradual clearing is expected in the South and in the rest of the Central Adriatic, but still cloudy with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder in the first part of the night.
