The low over the western Mediterranean is approaching the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 26, strengthening to 20-40, in the Velebit Channel up to 48 knots. Elsewhere SE winds 4-14, strengthening to 15-30, and turning in the Central Adriatic to NE 12-26 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Heavier cloud increase, bringing rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the South and Central Adriatic, firstly in the open sea.

Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the southern part of the Adriatic. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic a risk of snow. Moderate to strong, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to strong gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough.
