The low centered over the Ligurian Sea will be shifting across the Adriatic eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 34, easing gradually late in the day to 10-20, in the Velebit Channel to 26 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic SE and SW winds 6-16, in places up to 20, in the evening up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic even with snow.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds, still easing a little. In the rest of the Adriatic SE and SW winds turning firstly in the open sea to moderate to strong, briefly up to near gale force, NW winds, easing toward midday. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic even with snow.
