SYNOPSIS

The low with frontal system has moved eastwards, while a new trough is expected to approach from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 15-25, in the Velebit Channel up to 35 knots. Elsewhere SE and SW winds strengthening to 15-25 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open 3-4, locally in the open of the North Adriatic up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the evening, when snow could be seen along the coast of the North Adriatic.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and near gale force NE, elsewhwere moderate to fresh SW winds, easing in the morning. Sea slight, toward the open up to moderate. Air temperatures lower in the North and with no significant change in the rest of the Adriatic.
