LOCAL GUSTS OF SE, DURING THE NIGHT OF SW WINDS, 35-40, IN THE OPEN SEA OF SE BRIEFLY UP TO 50 KNOTS. SEA INCREASING LOCALLY IN THE OPEN UP TO 5, BUT CALMING IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE MORNING. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A very deep and broad Atlantic low is extending a trough with frontal system toward the central Mediterranean and the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-24, strengthening to 14-28, in the open sea up to 34 knots. Sea 3-4, increasing in the open to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with scattered rain, in the evening and during the night with isolated rain showers with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in the open sea up to near gale force, SE winds, turning gradually to SW and easing a little. In the extreme south of the Adriatic still strong and near gale force SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open sea up to rough, calming gradually in the North and Central Adriatic. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
