TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW, FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OF NW WINDS, 35-45, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC UP TO 50 KNOTS, AND SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A new low with frontal disturbance will be shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 10-20, strengthening in places toward the end of the day up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, toward midday increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Partly clear, in the North Adriatic still variably cloudy with scattered rain. Toward the end of the day and during the night a new heavier cloud increase with rain, showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Winds turning to moderate to strong NW, in the open sea up to near gale force, briefly up to gale force, easing during the forenoon in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough. Overcast with rain, isolated heavier rain showers with thunder, but partial clearing is expected toward midday.
