SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the open sea NW winds, 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28, easing to 4-14, in the Velebit Channel and in the South Adriatic to 18 knots. Along the coast late in the day NE and E winds 6-16, and in the Velebit Channel NE 12-24 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear along the coast, but in the open sea still variably cloudy with a risk of snow at first. A new cloud increase is expected late in the day.

A new cloud increase. Light to moderate NE winds, in the Velebit Channel still up to strong today. In the open sea SE winds expected tomorrow, strengthening to moderate. Sea smooth or slight.
