A shallow field of low pressure lies over the Central Mediterranean, while a field of high pressure lies more to the north of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the South Adriatic E, toward the open sea SE winds, 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots, easing a little late in the day. Sea 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, along the coast of the North Adriatic with snow, and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.

Moderate to strong NE, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic E and SE winds. Sea slight, toward the open up to moderate.
