SYNOPSIS

A low over the Central Mediterranean is deepening and it is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 16-26, in places up to 32, and in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic SE and E winds 10-20, turning gradually to NE and E and strengthening to 14-24 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic increasing to 4-5. Visibility 5-15 km. Overcast with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic with a little snow.

Moderate to strong NE and E winds, in places up to near gale force, and in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds up to gale force in places. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic with a little snow. Air temperatures will drop.
