IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING ALL ALONG THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT UP TO 60 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OPEN SEA.

SYNOPSIS

A low over the Aegean Sea is shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. NE winds strengthening during the night to 12-24, in places up to 28, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing south of Istria in the evening to 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Partly clear, in places still variably cloudy, in the open sea with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
