SYNOPSIS

A low with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 12-24, in the open sea NW up to 30, and in the Velebit Channel NE up to 34 knots. Along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic at first still SE and SW winds 12-24 knots. Sea 3-4, locally in the open possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic with a risk of sleet or snow.

NE and NW winds gradually easing toward midday to light to fresh, only in the Velebit Channel still up to strong NE, and locally in the open sea up to strong NW winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open up to rough, calming in the North and Central Adriatic. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, while along the coast partial clearing is expected.
