SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the north, while a low over the western Mediterranean is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-12, in the North Adriatic up to 16, and in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots, easing slowly toward midday and in the afternoon. Sea 2-3, calming around midday and in the afternoon to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair only in places.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Along the coast NE and E, and toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic SE and E winds, gradually strengthening during the night to light to moderate. Sea increasing to smooth and slight. Fair in places, but gradual heavier cloud increase with a risk of rain expected in the open sea.
