SYNOPSIS

A field of low pressure over the Adriatic is slowly filling up and a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 12-24, easing in the afternoon to 6-16, in the evening to 4-12, only in the Velebit Channel NE winds still up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, locally at first possibly up to 5, calming in the evening to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy and colder with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, along the coast of the North Adriatic of sleet. Partial clearing is expected during the forenoon, firstly in the North, toward the end of the day gradually in the rest of the Adriatic as well.

Light NW and NE winds, in the Velebit Channel NE still up to fresh. Sea calming to smooth. Fine or fair, but in the southern part of the Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
