SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in places of the South Adriatic up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing south of Istria, toward the open, to 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair, in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain and with a little risk of isolated rain showers with thunder, but clearing is expected during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE winds, gradually dying away in the North, but in the South and Central Adriatic still up to moderate till midday. Sea smooth of slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic at first still up to moderate, but calming gradually later on. Mostly clear. A risk of mist in the open of the North Adriatic.
