SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards and a ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

N and NW, along the coast mainly NE winds, strengthening to 15-30, only in places up to 36 knots. In the South Adriatic at first still SE and SW winds 12-22 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the open to 4-5. Visibility 20 km. Clearing. In the South Adriatic and in the open still rain, showers and thunder at first.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Moderate to strong, in places up to gale force NW, along the coast mainly NE winds, easing in the North and Central Adriatic to light to moderate, in the South Adriatic to moderate to strong. Sea moderate and rough, in the extreme south up to very rough, but calming in the North and Central Adriatic to smooth and slight.
