LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS 35-40, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE FORENOON AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC LATER ON, OF NW 35-55, DURING THE NIGHT OF NE and N UP TO 60 KNOTS. SEA TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT 5, IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT POSSIBLY UP TO 6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 12-22, south of Istria up to 26 knots. In the North Adriatic during the forenoon and in the rest of the Adriatic later on, winds turning to NW 12-24, in the open toward the end of the day up to 30 knots. Sea 3-4, increasing toward the end of the day and during the night to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, but gradual clearing is expected in the North Adriatic during the forenoon and in the Central till the end of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong and near gale force, toward the open sea up to gale force, NW, turning to NE and N winds, easing a little in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night. Sea moderate and rough, in the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to very rough. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
